Important Notice to All .qa Domain Customers
The Qatar Domains Registry (CRA) is introducing new registration policies and migrating to a new registry platform effective 22 October 2026.
Key changes:

New eligibility requirements: .qa registrations will require supporting documentation and eligibility verification. Instant registrations can no longer be guaranteed.

Temporary registration pause: AEserver expects to temporarily suspend processing new .qa registrations from 22 October until further notice.

Existing domains: Existing registrations remain active, but changes to registrant details, nameservers or DNS may require additional verification.

Transfers and renewals: New transfer restrictions, mandatory renewal with transfers and updated domain expiry and recovery procedures will apply.

Scheduled downtime: Registry maintenance begins at 12:00 AM Qatar Time on 22 October 2026. Domain registration and management transactions will be unavailable during the migration.
Existing websites and email services are not expected to be interrupted solely due to the registry migration.
