Requirements for registration of domain in Jordan (.jo domains)



Requirements:

1.  Application Form

2. Power of Attorney duly notarized and legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate.
(Scanned copy will be sufficient. Yet, please keep the originals since they may be requested  by the Registrar in case of doubt regarding the scanned versions)

3. Company Commercial Register, if the chosen domain name represent the name of the registrant, part of the registrant’s name, or an abbreviation of the registrant’s name.

Otherwise, a copy of a registered trademark is required, and the chosen domain name must represent the trademark entirely.

*Registered TM will be required to register general words

Notes:

- The actual registration date of Jordan domain names is the date we pay the  official fees to the NITC, and unfortunately the NITC does not list this date in the WHOIS, they only list the date of the online filing as the registration date (which is incorrect since their internal records list the actual registration date as the day we pay the fees).

- However, you may refer to our Notice of Filing (which is sent by email to you) and not the WHOIS information namely for the registration date and renewal due date of the domain names.
